New real pine tree loses many leaves after 2–3 days — cause & effective solution?
Hi everyone, I just received a real pine tree from Pines & Needles (delivered this week) but after 2–3 days in the living room, the leaves have fallen off quite a lot and the branches seem to be wilting. I would like to ask for practical experience from the community on caring for a real pine tree in the first few days to reduce leaf loss.
Some of my current information:
Type of tree: (fill in if you know: Nordmann / Norway / Fraser…)
Size: ~ (e.g. 7ft)
Time from delivery to placing indoors: ~2 hours
Room temperature: ~22–24°C
Stalk cut yet: no / cut 2 cm
Water tank: ~3–5L capacity, filled with water
I would like to ask:
In your experience, is the heavy leaf loss after 48–72 hours due to transportation/packaging or hot/dry environment?
What should I do immediately (cut the base back, add hot/cold water, mist, place in a cooler place…)?
What are your experiences in choosing the right stand/watering can for a tree this tall? (about how many liters, which one is durable)
Are there any tips for a quick recovery, or any signs that the tree is completely damaged so I can return it?
I prioritize answers that have:
Practical experience (tried and what were the results)
Immediate steps to take (in order of priority)
Notes on using heating/air conditioning around the Among Us Online tree
Thanks everyone in advance — if you have pictures (before/after) or an exact time from when you received the tree until you saw the leaves fall, please show them to me. I want to make a decision soon before the tree loses too much.
