Tips for Arranging Holiday Trees and Creating Custom Decorations
Hi everyone!
With the holiday season coming up, I wanted to start a discussion about arranging holiday trees and making custom decorations. I know it can sometimes feel overwhelming—like being in a puzzle or Escape Road, where each decision affects the final result!
Here are a few tips that have worked for me:
Start with the basics: Before adding ornaments, make sure your tree is evenly fluffed and branches are spread out. Think of this like clearing the first room in a game—everything needs a solid foundation.
Plan your color scheme: Pick 2–3 main colors or textures. This keeps your tree from looking too busy. It’s like following a map in a puzzle game: having a plan helps you avoid mistakes.
Layer your decorations:
Begin with lights (they set the mood).
Add larger ornaments next.
Finish with smaller accents and any special pieces.
This layering is similar to completing levels in a strategy game: one step builds on the last.
Personalize with custom decorations: Hand-made items, family ornaments, or themed decorations give your tree personality. You can even create small “escape hints” like little hidden objects or fun miniatures as a playful nod to Escape Road.
Finishing touches: Step back frequently to see your tree from different angles. Rotate it if needed—sometimes what looks perfect from one side needs adjusting from another.
